Women Entrepreneurs
Women entrepreneurs in India have come a long way. Women constitute alot of the world population and so it is in India also and hence now women are known as the better half of the society. Modern times have noted an assemblage of society activities that has changed all around. The most remarkable and appropriate is women liberation and empowerment. Modern women have merchandise into almost all field and have proved themselves which were earlier the exclusive part of their male peer.
Women of India either they are educated or not now do not need to limit their lives in the 4 walls of their home. Now in every home women demands for the equal opportunity and freedom so that they can grow and can achiev their aim. And ofcourse, India is a country where everyone has the right to freedom and thus it cannot neglect the potential of its women crew.
Globally it has been proved that women are performing very well in all type of activities like academics, politics, social work, home work, administration, management and so on.
Now in this era, women have started moving into industry and running their own enterprises and business successfully and happily. By all this we can see the entrepreneurial development in India that is raising the country in a good level up. Their is development of women enrepreneurs in the country.
Basically, Women entrepreneurs are the innovative women who innovate or adopt a business activity and raise their life so that everyone can know them as their own identity and with their own name. Women entrepreneurs are those who think of a business enterprise, initiate it, organize and then execute it and as men, women also undertake risks and handle all the uncertainty involved in a business enterprise.
By seeing the potential of women, the Government of India has defined women entrepreneurs on women's participation in equity and employment of a business enterprise. Government has also initiated many types of programmes for women so that women can grow and can take part in different activities and can show their entrepreneurship skills.
Their is growth of women entrepreneurship but, still in real life, the truth is somewhat different, our Indian society is still male-dominated and women are not treated as equal partners, they are still treated as weak and dependent on men. This mindset is only in some areas but now as the country is developing the mindset of people is changing.
Now, In India, the women's entry into business is a new happening and experience. Women has taken entry into the business that is an extension of their kitchen activities i.e. Pickles, Powders, and Pappads. Women in India dived into business for two facors pull and push. Pull factors encourages the women to start an occupation so that they can do something independently. Push factors compeled women to take up their own business to overcome their economic difficulties and responsibilities.
With growing pace and awareness about business and entrepreneurship there is spread of education among women over the period, women have started learning and going in different field like engineering, electronics, energy etc. There are several examples like: Women entrepreneurs manufacturing solar cookers in Gujarat, small foundries in Maharashtra and T.V. capacitors in Orissa. They have shown theiw capabilities and proved that women can compete men.
Hence, Women in India are no longer are within the four walls of the house. They are participating and performing well in every activities. They are managing their home and work together and happily.
